Third Ward Riverwalk

This unique project involved construction of wood walkways, staircases, and landscaping along the Milwaukee River on the river’s east bank in the Historic Third Ward. The half-mile-long Riverwalk has an educational theme with numerous permanent instructional stations installed along the walkway, and a pedestrian plaza at Buffalo Street featuring plantings and observation platforms. A boardwalk was also built along the river next to the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design.
